Something wonderful is happening in Connecticut. In a state where people find one another easily and ideas travel fast, that spirit of connection laid the groundwork for something profound — a shared purpose rooted in compassion, community, and the healing comfort of the nation’s best pizza.

This is the story of how a galvanizing artist with a penchant for pizza and a legendary pizza-maker with a heart as big as his pies connected with a father whose firsthand experience led him to create Feeding Families Foundation. Together, they began delivering thousands of free pies directly to hospital rooms for parents and caregivers of pediatric patients, ensuring families could stay where they belong — by their child’s side.

Pizza may be the connective thread, but the real ingredient is community. Connecticut’s small size and close-knit nature make it easy for people on different paths to find one another, connect deeply, and move quickly from conversation to action. This is what Connecticut does best: leading with compassion and turning local efforts into national purpose.
